Important Roles ignored by current government
I wrote this tonight after watching the exhibition the current Thai government compiled for the occasion. The royal guests were among the viewers.
The government failed to mention some of the MOST IMPORTANT roles His Majesty plays in the hearts and minds of His people...
I don't know if there is anybody who shares this feeling.
I didn't get to view the grand exhibition honoring His Majesty at Muangtong Thani. His works being widely emphasized on the media were projects, initiatives, and objects related to agriculture, healthcare and welfare, inventions, arts, etc. There is no dispute when it comes to HM's geniuses. All of those featured are extremely important because many have life-altering impact and directly benefit all the Thais. They are evident in our everyday life.
Foreign media reported His Majesty's interventions when He exercised His royal power and dissolved civil wars before they could get any worse on October 14 1972 and the Black May days of 1992.
To me, there is another thing that was overlooked and forgotten. I consider this the most important of all. His Majesty was my source of strength and comfort. He made me feel safe, secured, and confident during the scariest period of my life. I grew up during the time of the Indochina war and can still recall the fright, horror, and insecurity I had in my teen years.
I used to be terrified by my own imagination that in the middle of the night a communists' fleet of bombers might fly over Bangkok and start dropping bombs. I also imagined an army of armored tanks rolling into the capital (though my parents would dismiss my anxiety with something like--Bangkok's notorious traffic would prevent the enemy's army from reaching Bangkok). Often, I would lie awake at night after seeing evening news that covered the Vietnam war and tallied the number of casulties. After Laos and Cambodia fell to the hand of communism, my daily thought would circle around whether we could be next--following the Domino effect.
However, throughout that horrible period, Their Majesties the King and the Queen were the ones who kept the whole nation intact. They tended the wounds; they comforted broken souls; they pieced back shattered confidence; they healed the land. They travelled to war zones and visited soldiers and border patrolmen. Though it was dangerous, they could never be scared for they worried more for those soldiers, border patrolmen, and ordinary peasants in the areas. Back then Their Royal Highnesses the Princess Matriarch and Princess Kalyani Wadhana also travelled on their own to visit different war zones.
Broadcast images of the royal family's presiding over the annual armed forces cremation rituals at the Sri Mahathat Temple are still vivid in my mind. Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses went to honor those fallen heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty. When His Majesty ignited the fire, and, to me, the spark seemed to travel as long as eternity. It would be zigzacking and going around to no end, for there were thousands of the dead. I can also remember the sights of the weeping parents, wives, children, and relatives. Those people lost their beloved sons, husbands, fathers, brothers, and uncles. As a teenager during those years, I too shedded my tears along with them.
It was His Majesty for whom those soldiers laid down their lives.
It was Him who kept the Thais together.
It was Him that inspired the Thais' bravery which eventually defeated the communists who were trying to bring down the monarchy.
I grew up believing that only His Majesty's power could save Thailand and protect Thai people. And if it weren't for Him, who knew what we might have become.
Today, how many war veterans are there? I wish there's a way to let them know how much I adore and respect them. I want to thank them for their ultimate sacrifice. Their descendants are the people of whom we need to take care.
How could we ever forget these national heroes and fail to acknowledge their sacrifice and contribution at this auspicious occasion? We need to incorporate their stories and sacrifice along with His Majesty's crucial roles as a part in this grand celebrations.
In my opinion, His Majesty's title as the Supreme Commander of the Royal Armed Forces and His role as the core and essence of our love and confidence are His two most important functions. I suspect that the communists in the current government intentionally ignored and evaded these facts. These essential points were not brought to attention, for the communists are co-conspiring with the corrupt capitalist crook and surrounding His Majesty. Those loyal to Him were intentionally kept at bay or removed from His Majesty's circles.
Those born after the Indochina war era never got to know the fear of the loss of a nation, the defeat of a people, and the atrocity of genocide or ethnic cleansing. They never got to see the haunting images of the cremation ceremonies for the brave who gave us freedom and independence to survive as a nation. They never saw news footages of the royal visits to the warring borders. That's why today's youths may not be able to fully comprehend old people's deep love and connection to the King. The young could not appreciate why being a King's soldier is indeed an esteemed and honorable profession.
Look around and see today's soldiers. Where are the soldiers of the good old days who loved, worshipped, and would instantly give up their lives to protect the King? To whom are today's soldiers bow down and pledge their allegiance? What are today's soldiers doing?
Today's top Thai cops can never be compared with the provincial border-patrol corporals and sergeants who long ago had died to protect Thailand. Today's Thai police are 100% corrupt.
When HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhon walked in the city street to catch a train ride, there were no policemen in sight.
However, tens of them can be seen surrounding and protecting the crook who plans to abolish the monarchy.
I just wanted to know whether this government forbade the production of mini documentaries regarding His Majesty's role as the heart and soul of the country in times of war. Is it because of a few communists who are currently Cabinet members? Don't use the excuse that the documentaries of this kind could jeopardize the diplomatic relationships we are now having with several communist regimes in our neighboring countries. These are two different and separate arguments. I won't buy that.
During these past few days when I saw the faces of the traitor prime minister, his evil wife, and the ex-communist Cabinet members participating in sacred celebrations and rivalling among foreign dignitaries, I was ragingly angry and deeply saddened. All I could see were their evil grins and laughters and how they are joyfully counting down to the day when His Majesty would submit to their power. Why? Because right now, they have already bought 16 million of His people.
And when His Majesty finally returns to Heaven, will the aftermath be as frightful as the one over thirty years ago?

หรือการที่ทรงเป็นที่พึ่ง เมื่อมีเหตุคนไทยฆ่ากัน ก็ทรงเป็นกรรมการห้ามทัพ ตอน วันมหาวิปโยค 14 ตุลา และพฤษภาทมิฬ (ซึ่งพวกนักข่าวต่างประเทศพูดถึงกันนิดหน่อยเท่านั้น)
โดยส่วนตัว เรารู้สึกว่า สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวฯ ทรงเป็นให้เรา คือ การที่พระองค์ทรงเป็นหลัก ทรงเป็นที่พึ่งทางใจให้เรารู้สึกปลอดภัย อบอุ่นและมั่นคง เมื่อเราหวาดกลัวที่สุดในชีวิต คนอายุกลาง 40 อย่างเรา ที่โตมาในช่วงสงครามอินโดจีน จำความหวาดกลัว ความไม่มั่นใจ ในช่วงวัยรุ่นได้อย่างแม่นยำ
เราเคยกลัวว่า เวลานอนอยู่ อาจจะได้ยินเสียงเครื่องบินทิ้งระเบิด ของพวกคอมมิวนิสต์ บินเข้ามาถล่มกรุงเทพฯ กลางดึก หรือ เคยกลัวว่า วันหนึ่ง ขบวนรถถังจะบุกกรุงเทพฯ (แต่คุณพ่อคุณแม่ก็จะบอกว่า ไม่มีทางหรอก เข้ามาถึงดอนเมือง รถก็ติดแล้ว ฯลฯ) แล้วเรามักจะนอนไม่หลับ ทุกวัน ข่าวทีวี ก็มีแต่สงครามเวียดนาม จำนวนทหารและตำรวจตระเวณชายแดนที่เสียชีวิตและบาดเจ็บ แล้วลาวและเขมรก็ตกเป็นคอมมิวนิสต์ เราตื่นขึ้นมาทุกวัน ก็มีแต่กลัวว่า เมืองไทยจะเป็นประเทศต่อไป...ตามทฤษฎี Domino
แต่ตลอดช่วงสงครามอินโดจีนนั้น ในหลวงและสมเด็จฯ นี่แหละ ที่ทรงเป็นที่ยึดเหนี่ยวทางจิตใจขอคนไทยเอาไว้ด้วยกัน
พระองค์เสด็จจังหวัดชายแดน ทรงเยี่ยมทหาร ตำรวจชายแดนทุกแห่ง แม้จะเป็นแดนอันตราย แต่ไม่เคยทรงกลัว เพราะทรงเป็นห่วงทหาร ตำรวจชายแดน และราษฎรของพระองค์มากกว่า ตอนนั้น สมเด็จพระบรมราชชนนีและสมเด็จพระพี่นาง ก็ทรงช่วยกันเสด็จเยี่ยมทหารและราษฎรเสมอ
ภาพที่ทุกพระองค์เสด็จพระราชดำเนินพระราชทานเพลิงศพวีรบุรุษผู้กล้าหาญ ผู้สละชีพเพื่อรักษาเอกราช อธิปไตยของชาติ ณ วัดพระศรีมหาธาตุ บางเขน ทุกปี ในช่วงเวลาสงครามนั้น ยังติดตา ติดใจเราอยู่จนทุกวันนี้ ตอนทรงจุดไฟพระราชทานเพลิงนั้น ไฟจะวิ่งตามสายที่ยาว วกวน อ้อมไปอ้อมมา นานแสนนาน... เพราะแต่ละปีนั้น ทหาร ตำรวจชายแดน เสียชีวิตเป็นพันๆ นาย มากมายเหลือเกิน ได้เห็นภาพที่พ่อแม่ลูกเมีย ญาติๆ ของเขาเหล่านั้นร้องไห้ที่เสีย ลูก พ่อ สามี หรือพี่น้องลุงน้าอา ขนาดเราเป็นเด็ก ก็ร้องไห้หน้าทีวีทุกปีในงานนี้
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่เขาเหล่านั้น เสียสละชีวิตเพื่อปกป้อง
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่ทำให้คนไทยรวมอยู่ได้ด้วยกันทุกวันนี้
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่ทำให้คนไทยต่อสู้ผู้ก่อการร้ายคอมมิวนิสต์ที่คิดร้ายและคิดล้มล้างสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ จนต้องพ่ายแพ้ไปในที่สุด
เราโตขึ้นมา รู้แต่ว่า มีเพียงพระบารมีของในหลวงเท่านั้น ที่จะปกป้องบ้านเมืองเรา และคุ้มครองคนไทยได้ และหากไม่มีพระองค์ ป่านนี้เราคนไทยจะกลายเป็นอะไรกันไปแล้วก็ไม่รู้ได้
วันนี้ ทหารผ่านศึกทั้งหลาย จะยังเหลืออยู่สักกี่คน เขาจะมีโอกาสได้รู้ไหมหนอ ว่าเรารักและบูชาเขา ขอบคุณเขาสำหรับความเสียสละอันใหญ่หลวง ลูกหลานของวีรบุรุษที่สละชีพเพื่อชาติซิ ที่ควรได้รับการดูแล และส่งเสริม
และวีรบุรุษเหล่านี้สิ ที่เราควรนึกถึง และควรที่จะนำเรื่องของเขามาเสนอเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในด้านพระราชกรณียกิจของพระองค์ในการฉลองครั้งนี้ด้วย
การที่พระองค์ทรงเป็นจอมทัพไทย ทรงเป็นศูนย์รวมความรักและความมั่นใจของคนไทยนั้น เป็นเรื่องสำคัญยิ่งในความเห็นของเรา พวกคอมมิวนิสต์ในรัฐบาลคงจะไม่อยากรื้อฟื้นใช่ไหม เพราะบัดนี้ มีแต่พวกมันที่สมคบกับนายทุนเท่านั้นที่กำลังห้อมล้อมพระองค์อยู่ คนไทยที่จงรักภักดีกลับถูกกันออกมาจนห่างจากพระองค์
เด็กๆ ที่เกิดหลังสงครามอินโดจีน ไม่เคยรู้รสความกลัวจะสิ้นชาติ จะถูกล้างเผ่าพันธุ์ ไม่เคยเห็นงานพระราชทานเพลิงศพทหารที่สละชีพเพื่อให้เรามีวันนี้ ไม่เคยเห็นข่าวการเสด็จทรงเยี่ยมเขาเหล่านั้นในเขต ผกค. ก็อาจไม่ซาบซึ้งมากเท่าเราคนแก่ ว่าความจริงนั้น อาชีพทหาร คือ อาชีพที่มีเกียรตินักหนา
แล้วดูซีว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น ทหารที่เคยรัก เทอดทูน และสามารถยอมตายเพื่อพิทักษ์ราชบัลลังก์นั้น มาวันนี้เขาก้มหัวให้ใครอยู่ (names omitted) หรือทำอะไรอยู่ (name omitted)
ตำรวจอย่าง (names omitted) นั้น ไม่อาจเทียบกันได้กับ จ่าสิบตำรวจตระเวณชายแดนที่ตายเพื่อชาติ ตำรวจในเมืองนั้น ร้อยทั้งร้อย เลวบัดซบแบบบริสุทธิ์
สมเด็จพระเทพฯ ทรงพระดำเนินไปขึ้นรถไฟ BTS กับนางข้าหลวงอีก 2 คน ไม่มีตำรวจคุ้มกัน
แต่ทรราชที่คิดล้างสถาบัน กลับมีตำรวจคุ้มกันเป็นสิบๆ
อยากรู้ว่า รัฐบาลชุดนี้ ห้ามการนำเรื่องการที่พระองค์เป็นขวัญและกำลังใจของชาติยามข้าศึกรุกรานนี้ มาทำ mini documentaries หรือเปล่า เพราะรักษาการรัฐมนตรีหลายคนเป็นคอมมิวนิสต์ เช่น (names omitted) และอย่ามาอ้างว่า ไม่ควรรื้อฟื้น เพราะกลัวว่าอาจจะไปกระทบกระเทือนประเทศเพื่อนบ้านที่ยังเป็นคอมมิวนิสต์อยู่ในขณะนี้ มันคนละเรื่องกัน ฟังไม่ขึ้น
2-3 วันมานี่ ทุกครั้งที่เห็นหน้ากบฏทักษิณ กาลกิณีพจมาร และเหล่าคอมมิวนิสต์ (names omitted) ในงานมหามงคลครั้งนี้ เราเจ็บแค้น เจ็บใจ และเศร้าใจนัก เพราะเราจะเห็นแต่หน้าพวกมัน แสยะยิ้ม หัวเราะดังอย่างสะใจ เมื่อมันถึงบ้านและเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้า รวมทั้งการที่มันจะ count down ถึงวันที่พระองค์จะต้านมันไม่ได้ เพราะตอนนี้ พวกมันได้ “ซื้อ” พสกนิกรของพระองค์ไปแล้ว 16 ล้านคน
แล้วหากพระองค์ท่านทรงไม่อยู่เสียแล้ว เหตุการณ์หลังจากนั้นจะน่ากลัวเหมือนเมื่อ 30 ปีก่อนไหมหนอ?

ภาพที่ทุกพระองค์เสด็จพระราชดำเนินพระราชทานเพลิงศพวีรบุรุษผู้กล้าหาญ ผู้สละชีพเพื่อรักษาเอกราช อธิปไตยของชาติ ณ วัดพระศรีมหาธาตุ บางเขน ทุกปี ในช่วงเวลาสงครามนั้น ยังติดตา ติดใจเราอยู่จนทุกวันนี้ ตอนทรงจุดไฟพระราชทานเพลิงนั้น ไฟจะวิ่งตามสายที่ยาว วกวน อ้อมไปอ้อมมา นานแสนนาน... เพราะแต่ละปีนั้น ทหาร ตำรวจชายแดน เสียชีวิตเป็นพันๆ นาย มากมายเหลือเกิน ได้เห็นภาพที่พ่อแม่ลูกเมีย ญาติๆ ของเขาเหล่านั้นร้องไห้ที่เสีย ลูก พ่อ สามี หรือพี่น้องลุงน้าอา ขนาดเราเป็นเด็ก ก็ร้องไห้หน้าทีวีทุกปีในงานนี้
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่เขาเหล่านั้น เสียสละชีวิตเพื่อปกป้อง
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่ทำให้คนไทยรวมอยู่ได้ด้วยกันทุกวันนี้
พระองค์นี่แหละ ที่ทำให้คนไทยต่อสู้ผู้ก่อการร้ายคอมมิวนิสต์ที่คิดร้ายและคิดล้มล้างสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ จนต้องพ่ายแพ้ไปในที่สุด
เราโตขึ้นมา รู้แต่ว่า มีเพียงพระบารมีของในหลวงเท่านั้น ที่จะปกป้องบ้านเมืองเรา และคุ้มครองคนไทยได้ และหากไม่มีพระองค์ ป่านนี้เราคนไทยจะกลายเป็นอะไรกันไปแล้วก็ไม่รู้ได้
วันนี้ ทหารผ่านศึกทั้งหลาย จะยังเหลืออยู่สักกี่คน เขาจะมีโอกาสได้รู้ไหมหนอ ว่าเรารักและบูชาเขา ขอบคุณเขาสำหรับความเสียสละอันใหญ่หลวง ลูกหลานของวีรบุรุษที่สละชีพเพื่อชาติซิ ที่ควรได้รับการดูแล และส่งเสริม
และวีรบุรุษเหล่านี้สิ ที่เราควรนึกถึง และควรที่จะนำเรื่องของเขามาเสนอเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในด้านพระราชกรณียกิจของพระองค์ในการฉลองครั้งนี้ด้วย
การที่พระองค์ทรงเป็นจอมทัพไทย ทรงเป็นศูนย์รวมความรักและความมั่นใจของคนไทยนั้น เป็นเรื่องสำคัญยิ่งในความเห็นของเรา พวกคอมมิวนิสต์ในรัฐบาลคงจะไม่อยากรื้อฟื้นใช่ไหม เพราะบัดนี้ มีแต่พวกมันที่สมคบกับนายทุนเท่านั้นที่กำลังห้อมล้อมพระองค์อยู่ คนไทยที่จงรักภักดีกลับถูกกันออกมาจนห่างจากพระองค์
เด็กๆ ที่เกิดหลังสงครามอินโดจีน ไม่เคยรู้รสความกลัวจะสิ้นชาติ จะถูกล้างเผ่าพันธุ์ ไม่เคยเห็นงานพระราชทานเพลิงศพทหารที่สละชีพเพื่อให้เรามีวันนี้ ไม่เคยเห็นข่าวการเสด็จทรงเยี่ยมเขาเหล่านั้นในเขต ผกค. ก็อาจไม่ซาบซึ้งมากเท่าเราคนแก่ ว่าความจริงนั้น อาชีพทหาร คือ อาชีพที่มีเกียรตินักหนา
แล้วดูซีว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น ทหารที่เคยรัก เทอดทูน และสามารถยอมตายเพื่อพิทักษ์ราชบัลลังก์นั้น มาวันนี้เขาก้มหัวให้ใครอยู่ (names omitted) หรือทำอะไรอยู่ (name omitted)
ตำรวจอย่าง (names omitted) นั้น ไม่อาจเทียบกันได้กับ จ่าสิบตำรวจตระเวณชายแดนที่ตายเพื่อชาติ ตำรวจในเมืองนั้น ร้อยทั้งร้อย เลวบัดซบแบบบริสุทธิ์
สมเด็จพระเทพฯ ทรงพระดำเนินไปขึ้นรถไฟ BTS กับนางข้าหลวงอีก 2 คน ไม่มีตำรวจคุ้มกัน
แต่ทรราชที่คิดล้างสถาบัน กลับมีตำรวจคุ้มกันเป็นสิบๆ
อยากรู้ว่า รัฐบาลชุดนี้ ห้ามการนำเรื่องการที่พระองค์เป็นขวัญและกำลังใจของชาติยามข้าศึกรุกรานนี้ มาทำ mini documentaries หรือเปล่า เพราะรักษาการรัฐมนตรีหลายคนเป็นคอมมิวนิสต์ เช่น (names omitted) และอย่ามาอ้างว่า ไม่ควรรื้อฟื้น เพราะกลัวว่าอาจจะไปกระทบกระเทือนประเทศเพื่อนบ้านที่ยังเป็นคอมมิวนิสต์อยู่ในขณะนี้ มันคนละเรื่องกัน ฟังไม่ขึ้น
2-3 วันมานี่ ทุกครั้งที่เห็นหน้ากบฏทักษิณ กาลกิณีพจมาร และเหล่าคอมมิวนิสต์ (names omitted) ในงานมหามงคลครั้งนี้ เราเจ็บแค้น เจ็บใจ และเศร้าใจนัก เพราะเราจะเห็นแต่หน้าพวกมัน แสยะยิ้ม หัวเราะดังอย่างสะใจ เมื่อมันถึงบ้านและเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้า รวมทั้งการที่มันจะ count down ถึงวันที่พระองค์จะต้านมันไม่ได้ เพราะตอนนี้ พวกมันได้ “ซื้อ” พสกนิกรของพระองค์ไปแล้ว 16 ล้านคน
แล้วหากพระองค์ท่านทรงไม่อยู่เสียแล้ว เหตุการณ์หลังจากนั้นจะน่ากลัวเหมือนเมื่อ 30 ปีก่อนไหมหนอ?
